Synthesis of some New Derivatives of Triazole using Ortho-Carboxybenzaldehyde as a Synthone

In this work, the 1,2,4-triazole ring was prepared by introducing starting material ortho-carboxybenzaldehyde (1) in usual esterification reaction, ethanol as a solvent and presence of concentrated sulfuric acid to give ethyl-2-formylbenzoate (2), then resulting ester condensation reaction with thiosemberazide afforded 2-(2-formylbenzoyl)hydrazine-1-carbothioamide (3), which on cyclisation using solution sodium hydroxide obtain compound (4), treatment different primary aromatic amines Schiff bases (5a-e) were introduced into chloroacetyl chloride triethylamine an auxiliary base for prepare tetracyclic azitidinone compounds (beta-lactams) (6a-e) along triazole same compound. Finally, these characterized physical spectroscopic measurements such melting point, thin layer chromatography (m.p., TLC) infrared FT-IR, nuclear magnetic resonance spectra some compounds1H-NMR.
